“This place offers 4 private onsens that may be reserved for family which is unique, though there is an onsen tax of about 1200 yen. The staff were friendly and accommodating. One of the bidets in our room were not working unfortunately, but I’m sure if staff is notified, it could’ve gotten troubleshooted. “An absolutely wonderful ryokan. Everything is beautiful and very traditional, the room was amazing, and the onsen were perfect for relaxing and switching off. The atmosphere is peaceful and cosy, making it a great place to experience a more traditional side of Japan. And a special mention to Kirin-chan, the duck they have at reception — absolutely adorable! 🐤😂 Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful place to disconnect, relax, and enjoy an authentic Japanese experience.”

“The room is spacious. Onsen is warm and comfortable. The view from the open air Onsen is so amazing at night. The bar closes a bit too early. The service is excellent. The hotel staff are very nice and friendly, some do speak English. The pick up service is great. We are so grateful that they even drove us to the Beppu when we left the hotel. We are able to catch our express train all thanks to the staff who agreed to take us there. Great memories in Beppu and at the hotel.”
