“The general public areas were excellent and staff friendly and efficient. We would certainly staff again. Minor points - Our executive room was on the 3rd floor and ceiling and windowsill let the decorations down although for an old building a very nice room. Could do with more plug sockets especially at bedside for charging purposes.”

“Good property just that the last night our room was not clean.”

“Once I got my head past the idea that ‘this is not a Marriott’ I came to realize this is a great hotel. Room was comfortable. I was able to park right outside the hotel front door every night. Breakfast was good. The bar area is well presented with a good mix of locals and tourists to talk to. Room attended to daily. The local town is very pleasant. Some great coffee shops and pubs.”

“This was the best place I stayed at on my 10 day UK adventure. The room was gorgeous, the bed was sooooo comfortable, and the staff were so very kind. The only down side was no free breakfast but can’t expect everything to be spectacular.”

“Friendly owner, good communication. Comfortable and clean. Property is convenient for the minster and restaurants/bars. Good value for money in a pricey city”
