We’ve stayed here a few times and it has always been excellent. Nice rooms, good breakfast. friendly and efficient staff, lovely outside seating area. Location in York is perfect - nice area and short walk into the centre.

This hotel is just lovely. The building itself is beautiful. It was great to have on-site parking. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a tasty dinner on our first night, and our waiter, Rhys, was just wonderful. The breakfast was very good. It is perfectly located. It was less than a 10-minute walk to the Minster. The room was large, with a lovely ensuite. I loved the high ceilings. We would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous location, friendly & helpful staff and beautiful gardens. However the room was extremely hot and very compact although we did book a small double. No air con just a window and desktop fan so slept without the duvet. Very noisy with neighbouring rooms doors opening/closing late at night/early morning definitely could do with addressing this issue as the room practically shook with other rooms door closures. Bed was comfortable and good stock of coffee/tea & toiletries.
