“Absolute disgrace of a place. Myself, my mum and my two children booked here for two nights. The fold out bed was apparently for two people. There’s no way. There was a single duvet on it and only one clean towel on top (three towels in total for 4 guests), so even the staff are aware that it cannot sleep 2 persons. “Our second stay at Moss Cottage and this time we were welcomed by Bill, Peter’s colleague (hello Peter!). This is a very homely place and the welcome is equally warm. The rooms are very clean with good sized en-suite bathrooms. Bill prepares home cooked breakfast at a time agreed so you know it isn’t food that’s been left on a hot plate for an hour beforehand!! “Absolutely lovely stay very homely, comfy, clean lovely b and b , host Alan very knowledgable of local area, and a great cook ! We had a great nights sleep in a comfy bed , no problem parking which was a relief and will definitely return again”

“Lovely old pub in beautiful location, excellent breakfast, with home made preserves. The dinner menu looked very exciting but sadly we were dining elsewhere. Staff most helpful, carrying luggage and providing information. There is an onsite brewery! The night was extremely hot, so difficult to sleep, but very comfortable bed and well equipped room. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment to the tiling and taps, but was acceptable. There is a large parking area, by the river garden.”
