“Did not appreciate a separate bathroom from our bedroom. We booked 12 months in advance and I am sure that I would not have booked if I had noticed that. Our room was situated at the top of the stairs which meant other guests walking past possibly as you were heading to have or return from a shower. Our room could also be seen from a public area (a small corridor from the main bar to the beer garden) which is not good especially for a woman. The hosts went out of their way to find us...

“Stayed one night prior to visiting Alnwick gardens, chosen primarily for location. Staff very friendly and helpful,we did not have any meals there as we walked into Alnwick. Pleased to have a kettle and coffee available in the room for the morning. As others commented the bathroom plumbing was very noisy, with drainage smells apparent. ”

“Lovely room in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately I was taken ill and had to leave early before breakfast as I needed to get to urgent care in Berwick for medication, for a Chest Infection. But would recommend based on my experience of the room.”
