“If you value the suspension in your car then avoid the long potholed drive up to this property!
On arrival it transpired the lift was not working and no-one appeared the whole weekend to investigate or repair. No idea how long it had been broken. No apology was given when we arrived. We were simply directed to the staircase to get to our room on the 2nd floor!.
No idea when the skirting boards in the room was last cleaned.
The shower in the room was scalding hot one minute and freezing cold...

“Gorgeous little B&B run by the lovely Les. Everywhere was spotless and welcoming. Our room was spacious, comfy, very pretty and had everything we could need for our 2 night stay. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Felt like by the end of our stay that Les had become a friend and a confidante 😉
Definitely planning a return trip…”

“The meals were excellent both for quality and price, staff very helpful. The bed was comfortable however the windows did not close entirely. It was quite warm so not a major problem for us but the windows needed refurbishment so they be opened or closed easily. The electric shower was very weak. These issues were relatively minor given the pluses of staff, food and comfortable beds”

“La struttura e’ semplice ma molto caratteristica, accogliente tipica del paese meraviglioso dove si trova. Personale disponibile e gentile sotto ogni aspetto.
Unico aspetto negativo se proprio vogliamo e’ che la nostra stanza per 4 persone era un po’ piccola. Comunque sicuramente da consigliare!”

“Great base for the northumberland coast,we visited bamburgh which has lots of history,we can recommend the grace darling museum and the church .Also Alnwick has a fantastic castle,( harry potter was filmed there.) The Amble inn had a great atmosphere we were lucky,band played on the friday we arrived .they played great music.And the meal we booked was lovely.well done to all the staff we were made very welcome and nothing was to much trouble.
Plenty of free parking aswell.”

“Easy to find, friendly and helpful staff. Room was a bit dated and looked like bathroom had been updated but still needed a good clean on paintwork, which also needed painting. Door to room was not tight fitting and light from landing was visible all night down one side.”
