Staff lovely, nice room with everything you needed lovely choice of breakfast (pay extra) Bar/restaurant food was nice but bottle of Diet Coke very expensive I thought swimming pool was included in price and was disappointed you had to pay £7 per day which was expensive if you only wanted a swim

The staff were excellent and couldn’t be more helpful. The lobby and bar areas were nice. We had to change rooms as our first room wasn’t clean. We were moved to a better room only to find scaffolding being put up outside our room on the first day. We went out for the day and when we came back there were workmen on the scaffolding. We decided to pack up and go home a day earlier than planned. We only stayed one night when we had paid for two. We won’t be going back to this hotel. It needs to take the word GRAND out of it’s title as this is something that it isn’t.

Booked through Expedia as a double but we were given a twin. When we asked for a double as per booking the only option was to pay an upgrade fee of £25. Not really the hotel's fault as the information came through incorrectly from Expedia. The double room we received in the end was fine. Food & service for both dinner and breakfast was good. Don't book the breakfast through Expedia though as it is £3 per person cheaper if you pay for it at reception. The surrounding woods are nice for an evening walk. On the whole its a good hotel. Looks like lots of weddings at weekends.
