Vacations Close To West 59th Street Recreation Center

Hotel was great for a short stay. It is kept very clean, but rooms need updating. Just updating bedding and curtains would make a big difference! Lady at front desk is very nice! Dinner at Rothmanns was excellent as always! Hope if we come again, rooms will be more updated.

It was a good location. It was nice to have a family sized room that would sleep 5 people and have three beds. It was nice to find a place that offered free breakfast. Check-in and check out were very easy. Always plenty of hot water for showers. Beds were comfortable. Things we didn’t like. Our room cards didn’t work multiple times and a couple times we got stuck in the elevator because of it. was not a big fan of the bathroom being see-through. Not enough outlets. had a very bad experience at the restaurant with very poor service. And to top that off the server put our table down as a 6 person table instead of 5 to force an 18% tip. When we checked out of a room and we were waiting for about an hour to leave for our train there was no available bathroom in the lobby area. On the positive side the lobby area very comfortable couches.

Staff were helpful and informed. Clean room and the rest of hotel appeared clean as well . Location was terrific.

Needed better lighting for putting on makeup in the mirror. And this is the first time I’ve never had a fridge or a microwave in the room. For as much as we paid, that should have happened. Also, nothing on tv is watchful. You should have news channels and some good movies. A guide would be nice, too.

Loved the location and the staff was great. The property was in need of a refresh - tile in the shower was old, the elevator door was held together by duct tape, the towels were frayed and overall, it was just tired looking. The fitness area was being renovated which we were unaware of when we booked, which was disappointing.
