“Clean and cosy”

“We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there”

“Good location Friendly atmosphere”

“We stayed for 2 nights in a very small double standard room. No storage space,just a bar about a metre long to hang a couple of items on and small bedside drawers .There was a complimentary breakfast provided and tea making facilities but only a tiny stool so breakfast had to be eaten sitting on the bed. All that being said the room was clean and the bed . In the shower room there is a small towel rail but only big enough for hand towels,we had to drape the wet bath towels over the shower door....

“The food in the restaurant was not very good at all. Very little selection . The menue was the same each evening, including the soup of the day. The out side patio needed the ash trays emptying and rubish off the floor. The staff were lovely but at times there was not enough of them on shift. Resulting ln a long wait at the bar to be served.”
