Vacations Close To Children's Museum and Theatre of Maine

Room smelled like cigarettes and smoke detector had plastic bag on it, front desk apologized and quickly placed me in another room. Both rooms could use repair and deep cleaning. Rather not list all issues but here’s a few: reading lamps broken, bathroom tub and vanity has cigarette burns and paint or … nail polish stains, vent fan didn’t work, pillows smelled rotten (I bought my own), room access key had to be reprogrammed every day of my 4 night stay, staff was courteous though, hotel should be $70 night or less…

While the hotel is aged it is well maintained. The grounds were meticulously kept. The amenities were adequate. The rooms spacious and we enjoyed the balcony space. Easy on and off the highway and just a short ride to downtown Portland. An economical option for sure. Also the Zero Lounge attached to the hotel was amazing. Events nightly, spacious game room and friendly staff.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The location was very convenient to the Old port. Parking was right across the street. The only drawback was a mechanical noise that we believe originated from the building next door. This noise made it sometimes difficult to sleep. Having a kitchen and laundry were helpful.

I really liked that. It was very close to the airport and other easy bus transfer station they have laundry. They have a quick breakfast not the best because it wasn’t a hot breakfast, but you could always have oatmeal which is hot and fresh fruit.

We had a great stay here. The space was large, well appointed, and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Renovated older property, clean and friendly staff. My fault in not realizing there was no elevator and then we were on third floor! Oh yes, shared bathroom caught us by surprise — again my fault for not vetting more carefully.
