This quaint little place was absolutely perfect for our girls trip. It was cozy, comfortable, and the beds were incredibly comfortable—exactly what we needed after a day of exploring. We especially loved the complimentary blueberry wine; such a thoughtful and fun Maine touch! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this charming place to anyone visiting the area.

The Francis is an "old bones" hotel that has been updated to a 21st-century experience. The staff was attentive to our every need and up to date on the local area. The Hotel is just west of the Arts District and has many neighborhood restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable and had a small reading area. The bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast was delivered to our room in the morning from a local bakery. The room had a "pour-over" coffee pot with instructions that made some great coffee and an electric kettle for my wife to enjoy hot tea at any time of the day. Special shout-out to Devin at the front desk for his recommendations and assistance.

We had a really lovely stay at The Francis. The building itself is beautiful and has so much character, but still feels really comfortable and updated. Our room was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully done. The staff was genuinely kind and helpful without being over the top. It’s in a great spot, easy to get everywhere but still quiet at night. I’d definitely come back.

Very nice historic building. Renewable and comfortable. We didn’t get breakfast because it wasn’t available until after 830 am and we had an earlier flight. Also the coffee service was nice but for those who like cream it was a little lacking as there was none provided. The minibar was fun and unique with great treats and Maine made items. The gym at the sister hotel was fantastic but not available for early morning workout but over all a nice stay. Really ideal for a laidback traveler
