“Staff were great. The valley had no water due to the drought. The staff took it in their stride. They were honest about the situation, provided bottled water and kept guests up to date with the situation which was resolved by the next morning. The room was clean, however the paintwork could do with being refreshed. Tea / coffee stains on the wall by the kettle. “Excellent place to stay, fabulous hosts who had brilliant local knowledge, recommendations and very caring and accomodating. The breakfast and service was awesome, will certainly be coming back again.”

“We thought the hotel in general and the room were amazing. We have stayed in nice hotels in different parts of the world and this was up there. The design touches all around the hotel were outstanding. What let it down (and why we reduced a star) was being charged for parking (it was not a cheap booking) and the lack of EV charging points.”

“Lovely B&B with spacious, comfy room & bathroom, all spotless and containing everything we needed. Excellent breakfast with a good selection of bars and restaurants nearby for dinner. Easy walk from here down to Bowness. Easy check-in and advance breakfast ordering system but the icing on the cake were the lovely staff. Advised them we had just got quietly married and got back to find they’d decorated our bed! So sweet ❤️”

“The staff were great - friendly and welcoming. The room was on the small side but we were only there for one night, and it was clean and comfortable (and the view of the hills was lovely). There was a large fan provided, which was very welcome given the heatwave that was taking place that week, We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. A perfect place for an overnight in the Lakes.”
