We can't recommend Storrs Gate House enough, such a good break away here. Susann and Glenn are amazing hosts, such friendly, lovely people. Breakfasts were incredible and definitely set you up for the day, we are missing those breakfasts! The house is so beautiful, our room was perfect, plenty of space and beautifully decorated. Our celebratory time away was made all the more special staying at Storrs Gate, we would definitely like to stay here again, thank you for such a lovely stay.

Good location, clean rooms. Good breakfast. The gardens are lovely as well, although we were there in inclement weather. Would be lovely in the summer. We would make one suggestion - the host asked us to leave our shoes at the front door which is fine, as obviously that keeps the property very clean, but it would have been good to know before we arrived as then we could have taken slippers, but this didn’t detract from our stay.

We only stayed at Storrs Gate House for one night to break a long journey to Scotland but we would have no hesitation in returning for longer to explore the area properly. The accommodation was supremely comfortable, the breakfast was superb and the hosts were wonderfully welcoming. Storrs Gate House is only a short and pleasant stroll from the centre of Bowness but far enough away to be quiet and tranquil. Altogether top notch. Highly recommended.

What a pleasure to stay at this beautiful property, with fantastic hosts. The quality of the breakfast is top draw and without a doubt the best egg and bacon sandwich I have ever tasted. A short beautiful walk along the lake leads to bars and shops. We will definitely be back.

This is by far the best stay we have ever had as a couple visiting the Lake District very frequently. The house is absolutely beautiful and the owners Susan and Glenn were the most wonderful hosts. The rooms are absolutely stunning and the quality of the breakfast is 5 star.
