“Good locals pub”

“Check in was easy and efficient. The room was all that could be expected, plus a few extras. A jar of a variety shortbread biscuits was a surprise along with an extremely varied options for hot drinks, i.e. Horlicks. A bowl of fruit was also an unexpected delight. The bathroom was well appointed, with shampoo, soap etc in pump pots. The bed itself was supremely comfortable with more than sufficient coverings. A large fan completed the array of convenience items, really handy with recent weather...

“Our room was very clean, the staff were excellent and the food was very good. We thought the cost of room and breakfast was a bit pricey. Some refurbishment is needed, the easy chair in our room was very uncomfortable and threadbare.”

“Un lugar muy auténtico. El apartamento es perfecto para una familia de 4. Limpio, amplio, cómodo. Dispones de lo necesario para tu estancia. El restaurante sirve comida de calidad y las raciones son enormes. Nos atendieron estupendamente. La zona es preciosa. Esta vez nuestra estancia tuvo que ser corta pero esperamos volver para disfrutar más tiempo del lugar. ”

“Staff were friendly and helpful. Lift was out of order for all of our stay which was not good as I have arthritis in both knees, left hip and right shoulder. There were a lot of stairs - this spoilt the holiday slightly for me”

“I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem. “We stayed here one night on the way back down from Scotland. The evening meal was ok, although elements of my wife’s starter weren’t included as on the menu. We drew this to the attention of the Manager who apologies and said they they would remind the chef to include all elements of the dish in the in future, but nothing else was offered. My Steak pie was delicious but my wife’s sea bass wasn’t to her liking either. The room was clean, but the TV in the room wasn’t tuned in ind I could only...
