“The service and breakfast was exellent and the property exceptionally clean. This room did not have an ensuite bathroom and so nightime bathroom excursions were a bit risky as I had to leave my room and go down some steps to reach the facility. This was reflected in the price but was a surprise to me and may not work for less mobile visitors.”

“This was our first visit. The location is ideal, and the main building and gardens are beautiful. Staff are welcoming when you arrive, particularly the concierge who couldn't do enough to make sure everything was right with our accommodation. We stayed in the Garden Cottage which was quaint and roomy with a comfortable bed. On the whole the staff were really kind and helpful .Friday 18th Sept 2026 , had to ask for my pot of tea at breakfast , and felt invisible at the same breakfast session as wasn’t fussed over the way that some of the guests were , this did not apply to the maitre D who was charming at the same session .”
