The location across the street from the train station was super convenient. The railway noise wasn’t a problem for us. The room was on the top floor with low ceilings and doorways. And the ensuite bathroom was small but utilized the space well. The rainfall shower was wonderful! The staff were friendly and helpful with all our questions.

This boutique hotel was my favorite of all those in which I stayed during a 3 week journey. The room and en suite bathroom were extremely nice, spacious, and clean. We could see the castle from our window. Eating in the bar is a must do--excellent food and friendly staff. The location is right by transport, and it is right by the town center as well. A+ for Erskine Arms.
