“The room itself (room 1 deluxe) is well designed & sympathetically decorated to the age of the building giving a feeling of opulence meets modern. The toilet cisterns take ages to refill but I suspect this is due to the age of the plumbing! The bed is very comfy. The downside to the room is that in the unprecedented heat there was inadequate little fan which meant leaving the french doors open during the night. “1 Star – Not Recommended This is not really a hotel but an old countryside pub with a few guest rooms. The location is extremely remote, and it is pitch black outside at night with very little lighting. The building is old, the rooms feel dated, and the overall experience was disappointing. If you’re expecting a comfortable hotel, you will likely be disappointed. I would not stay here again.”

“Lovely stay. Staff very friendly and helpful and breakfast lovely. The room was very clean but the walls are a little thin. We stayed in room 1. Room 2 has a separate toilet which is outside room 1 so you hear people in the night unlocking doors and going to the toilet. However, overall we had a lovely stay.”
