“Lovely cottage with all the amenities that we required. Situated in a quiet village within close proximity of Penrith. Nice welcome box with tea, coffee etc and even treats for the dog. Good offroad parking at the back of the cottage and an enclosed front garden. Stayed for a week, excellent location for exploring Hadrians wall, lake district and yorkshire dales. ”

“Comfortable, well equipped 2 bedroom lodge with the living room, kitchen, bathroom, garden, parking space. Very kind owners always ready to talk. Property surrounded by a beautiful nature - green hills, farm animals. Not far are nice trails for hiking. Kendal is only 6 miles away. I recommend this place and I want to come back in the future.”

“Property had reasonable price. However guest at least expecting property to be clean. There was too many spider everywhere in the property. Clear haven’t clean it properly I had to spent an hour to clean which something you do not expect in your holiday. Location was perfect. Easy parking , Just 7 min drive from Windermere. There is local shop around so easy to get stuff.”

“Set on a working farm in beautiful countryside with far reaching views. The property was lovely & clean & contained everything needed for a relaxing stay. A very comfortable bed, a lovely shower with plenty of hot water & the property was lovely & warm. There was plenty if onsite parking. Whilst we didn’t need to contact the hosts we knew they were close should we have need them. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. “Excellent accommodation, spotlessly clean, fully equipped kitchen (everything you could possibly need). It was like a home from home. The only slight negative was that the beds were very soft, but that's just personal preference. Whitbarrow village itself was very well maintained with a lovely bar/restaurant area. We would definitely return.”
