“Totally overpriced. Room was run down but at least clean. Bare minimum for soap, tissue, cups (cheapest everything). Had to use my own wifi hotspot - no access info provided. The worst part was when the power went out in the middle of the night leaving no power, heat or water. Was a city issue but disappointed that staff didn’t show up to check in on anyone or bring water or anything. I left as soon as I could since there was no point in staying. What a waste.”

“The owner made checking in very easy and was very flexible about what time we arrived. The bathroom and kitchenette were well appointed; the bedroom was quaint and cosy. The house is only a block from Haliburton’s Main Street, within easy walking distance of many restaurants and stores as well as the library, the post office, and the public park on the lake. This is a great starting point for exploring the many beautiful aspects of the Haliburton Highlands.”

“To say the hotel is dated is being very generous. The carpets are stained and have bumps throughout. There was no TV service... like the Bill wasn't paid. I asked to speak to a manager as it wasn't fair to be upset with the person at the desk and the Manager never returned any messages. The Air Conditioner sounded like a helicopter landing. The coffee maker was not working and we were told maintenance would come by and they never showed. Because of the reviews I didn't expect a lot. No more...
