I was at Haliburton Post House Weekend Aug 2 to 4th with family, we had one of the cottages and one room in the main building. It is our second time coming and we are so impressed with how clean and well kept the resort is that we will definitely be back. We had dinner as well in the restaurant and it definitely stands up to its reputation. Thank you

This is a very boutique type of property but with a very casual woodsy vibe. I say boutique as there are only a few cabins and I believe 3 main lodge rooms. Staff is not everywhere but when we checked in we got the most amazing greeting. The young lady in the diningroom in the morning is very sweet and helpful. It should be noted that unless you book time in the restaurant there are no other facilities for food on site. This obviously is not an issue if you are in a cabin but the main lodge may pose one. We were in the lodge but were back and forth to another location. When the restaurant is open it is quite a busy place. I cannot rate the ammenities other than the gym which was very well appointed and of a great size. There are many boats to use as well as a fire pit and some outdoor type games. While we were there it was quiet and peaceful. The rooms are well appointed with good television options if you want to sit in and watch some TV. A mini fridge and a coffee maker are also available. The location is wonderful and very easy to find.

We were unfamiliar with the Haliburton Post House and booked two nights , mid week, on a whim to get out of town. The room was beautiful, the food and wine selection was great. We took advantage of their waterfront and toys on what may have been the hottest day of the year. Thanks to the staff who made us feel welcome and were the highlight of our stay.

Recently stayed here Aug. 14-16. Check in was seamless. A pair of chocolate truffles welcomed us on arrival with a hand written note saying as much. The mattress was firm and in excellent condition, the room was fully pre-stocked stocked with crisp, fresh linens and a mini fridge with several non-alcoholic drinks at no extra charge, coffee pods and a coffee maker. The room and washroom sparkled and smelled of fresh cedar logs, instantly transporting us into Vacay Mode. The complimentary brekky was fresh and generous enough to let us get going on our early morning paddle to explore the lake by canoe or kayak. Fresh, plush towels were available outdoors, too, right near the dock. The sauna located in the gym, the outdoor fireplace and games would also be great to try during a longer stay. I can suggest to offer guests to make marshmallows in summer by the firepit one night of the week. Front of House lead, Justine, took very good care of us and responded to any request we made and checked back in during our stay, in case we wanted to opt in for dinner or brunch reservations. Very attentive staff overall. Would go back here in a heartbeat in another season to continue exploring the area. A magical hidden gem in Haliburton that actually does live up to its 5 star rating. Outstanding service by the whole team. I cannot wait to tell my close friends how wonderful our visit here was.
