“The food was delicious , the staff were accommodating and the scenes were stunning.
The room we had 39 was a little tired and needed a lick of paint on the walls as there were some patchy paint bits.”

“Stayed with my son overnight on our trip to climb Helwellyn. Did the climb prior to checking in, as check in was from 3pm. Asked in advance if we could use the car park upon our arrival in the morning & it was no problem.
Once we checked in, the room was good with a modern ensuite, ironing board, hair-dryer and coffee facilities. All the staff were friendly with a nicely stocked bar and it was fine to book a table for our evening meal. The menu had a good choice of meat and vegetarian options....

“The staff were great - friendly and welcoming.
The room was on the small side but we were only there for one night, and it was clean and comfortable (and the view of the hills was lovely). There was a large fan provided, which was very welcome given the heatwave that was taking place that week,
We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent.
A perfect place for an overnight in the Lakes.”
