If you like absolute dumps, this is the hotel for you. The hotel is filthy. Lobby carpet and chairs stained, scuffs on seemingly every wall, only one elevator works. The hotel claims that the cleaners only work between 3 and 5 p.m., so when you check in at 3 p.m. there's dozens of people waiting to get into their rooms. And those that are already guests of the hotel, get the joy of touring all day and coming home to get ready for dinner only to discover the room has not been cleaned. Even when you request cleaning they don't come. When they do, they leave hairs everywhere, dust on mirrors, don't replace cups etc. And if you love pulsating bass, you are going to love the stay here because did I mention the hotel is over two nightclubs and that you will feel vibrations all night long? When you are up in the wee hours of the morning because of said nightclub, you may want to text a friend back home, but alas, there are not even plugs beside the bed, so good luck. Also, front desk could not give a flying fluff and act like even the most basic of requests are huge impositions. Incredible blight on the Ibis brand. Do not stay.

For being above a brewery it was very quiet. The room was very comfortable. The only reason it getsa 4 star is because the wait staff at the brewery where they serve meals were not very friendly. Housekeeping staff were quite friendly however.

Beautiful hotel. Staff was exceptional. Give a shout out to Lionel. He was great.

Excellent communication with the host company, very responsive. Extremely well located. Planning to stay here again when visiting Edinburgh again next year.
