Excellent overnight spa break

Overnight stay was excellent from initial check in (early!) to checkout. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel had been restored beautifully. The spa is superb, especially the hydro therapy pool outside. Breakfast was really good with great produce and choice. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful property overlooking North Berwick golf links and the sea. If you are looking for a small quaint European hotel this isn’t the place. This is a large property with spacious rooms. Very nice spa. Great access to the golf links or a walk to the beach. Relatively short walk to downtown.

The hotel was very nice, clean and the room was big, comfortable and well decorated. Unfortunately we had a very poor experience in the hotel bar where we went for dinner. Service was slow, they forgot our cutlery, our drinks order and our desserts, which never came at all. Following a complaint to the hotel, they have addressed the issues and been very accommodating in offering a suitable solution so I can't fault them on that front and on that basis, would be willing to return

The positive aspects of the hotel included a clean and comfortable bedroom with great views, as well as a good breakfast with attentive servers. However, the negative aspects were numerous, including a problematic check-in experience with miscommunications and delays, rude staff at the bar, and poor quality food at dinner. The bathroom in the room was also dated and the shower weak. Overall, the hotel fell short of its 5-star rating with subpar service and amenities.

Very impressive location and reception area with the view behind etc. The only downside was the extremely hot room (mid October stay) which we could not remedy in spite of radiators all off, window open and fan going all night. What a beautiful traditional Scottish hotel. In a fantastic position with fab sea views. Within easy walk of the town. Cracking shops and restaurants. Dinner in hotel was amazing as was breakfast. Will be back 😊

There was no clock in the room. Room lit too brightly, but only one bedside lamp. Spa was excellent. Dining options. Very disappointing, same dinner menu every day. We suggest you could easily add a special which could be changed daily.
