The restaurants in the hotel look primarily to an internal patio that has no Ocean views. Notwithstanding that the site where the hotels sits in has a wonderful Ocean view. A great view was wasted by the architect that designed the hotel.

The shower in the men’s spa area was so full of mold, and it was very dirty. Our bathroom in our room had a tile that was completely lifted probably because of water getting in the massage that my husband had he had mentioned to the service provider numerous times that he did not want anything but his back and shoulder massaged and she did what she wanted to do and didn’t listen to him so thank God we had 20% off the service. The food was great. The people you have working in your bar area are young and inexperienced and you could tell they weren’t very accommodating and somewhat dismissive but everything else was great.

Really stunning surroundings. Rooms and some public areas are very tired. Staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Poor food choices and extortionate prices. A pint of Moretti £8.50!! We have stayed at this hotel several times in recent years. Tinged with slight disappointment! We really enjoy staying at this hotel and the staff are excellent. However, our rooms made us question the price as we felt the rooms were not up to the standard we expected from a five star hotel.

First Class, Welcoming & Excellent

There for a romantic stay and the hotel was beautiful, especially with all their stunning Christmas decorations. Service was absolutely first class: friendly, helpful, warm, welcoming and just made us feel special and pampered. Yes it’s a hotel of the highest standards but you don’t feel in any way uncomfortable - just like a beautiful big house with lots of people looking after you for two days. Huge credit to management and more importantly the staff.

Restful at St Andrews

Always enjoy staying at the Fairmont hotel and this stay was no exception. Very relaxing, great food and weather ok too. Staff always warm and friendly and nothing too much trouble. The on-site ice machines were being replaced and had to call the reception for a bucket of ice which was delivered with a smile each night.

Beautiful surrounding property and views of the sea. The rooms are old and could’ve been cleaner. Went to the spa in the evening to use the facilities and it was extremely dirty and unkept. Didn't even attempt to find the sauna it was so dirty in the locker room which was very unlike other Fairmonts i’ve stayed at.

Choosing this hotel was the best decision I made when booking my family vacation in Scotland. The property is stunning, spacious and beautifully decorated. The pool area is perfect. The staff so accommodating and the shuttle go and from town works perfectly. We did not golf but if we did the stay there seems that it would be even better. An overall 10!!!!

Oh yes. This is 5 star done right.

From driving up to driving away this was everything you could expect. The team on the front desk was a young English man and a young Ugandan woman. Both were impeccable in presentation and communication with an ability to let me feel comfortable.

We got a studio room and as soon as we walked in we spotted the sofa was covered in dog hair. Unbelievable The porter went and got a cleaner who hoovered it then we were asked to vacate the room while they had another go at cleaning on our time. We got one free drink each for this. I did ask to move rooms but no. I struggle to understand if these rooms are cleaned properly between customers how was this missed? It was covered in dog hair not just a few bits

Fabulous hotel, perfect for a relaxed break whether that be as a couple or as a family. Overall, High standards and friendly service. Would definitely return. Only couple of issues we had was it was very difficult to find a parking space on arrival due to the busyness of the hotel and very slow service at reception checking in which meant significant time standing in a queue. One of the most disappointing points, which I did not expect from such a high class hotel, was when our beds were made on the second day, the sheets were neatly folded but the pillows were left as we had slept on them- not plumped to neatened. Did not look good when we arrived back to our room.
