“First and foremost the property was clean, functional and offered value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, although our experience of room service was let down by dirty cups being left. We found the hotel lacked character, everything about it was functional and not interesting. This extended to the breakfast, our experience of which was behind not eating supper there. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view. Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got....

“Very friendly staff, but room was smelling of damp, the bathroom light was very bad, the walls were paperthin so heard snoring all night on the other side of the wall. Walking down the corridor towards our room was like walking in a prison - every door was painted in a glossy metallic grey and every door was scuffed and marked and looked like it had seen better days. It was fine for a one night stay but I wouldn't rush to book here again.”
