An excellent hotel, beautifully maintained gardens and buildings. Lovely big rooms, friendly staff. The onside restaurant was nice, food and service really good. We walked to Beamish Museum, but it was a good 15 minutes up a steep hill. You can cut through the 1940s farm on the way back, which cuts out over half of the route. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful country house hotel, spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms. The Stables restaurant was delightful with a really varied menu for both dinner and breakfast. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful I know sounds too good to be true but it really was a lovely experience and we’ll definitely be back

Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. Flower borders were just lovely! Room (twin deluxe) was spacious, comfortable and clean. One note, we were in room 216 which had view over cafe at back, which was really pretty so not a problem. However, deliveries started unloading at 6am in the morning which wasn't great. The hotel is so close to Beamish working museum, very handy. Few good pubs in the area too.

Front of house staff (Receptionist) was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. I believe that some of the rooms have been updated, which will be likely to happen with the room I had, which needs attention in the bathroom area, but overall very good. Pleased that the WiFi is included in the room rate, unlike the bargain chains. All the staff I encountered were very friendly. Even had a nice chat with the Handyman.
