We have stayed at many RIU properties and unfortunately this one was the worst one by far. It really surprised us how small the property is! Pictures made it look spacious, but it isn’t. The hotel is literally a horseshoe-shaped building with one general courtyard area in the middle, where the restaurants and pools sit together. We were disappointed in the overall food buffet quality and selection, which was a huge let down for an all-inclusive resort. The beach is not maintained well with daily ocean debris and other garbage literally just lying around. Be cautious if going into the ocean, as there are a ton of rocks under the ocean water and not far out from the beach shore . I cut my foot rather bad while just walking around in the ocean about 10 feet from shore. The pools are nice, but again super small in terms square footage with one consistent depth. There is one traditional pool though, the other 4 are smaller and serve functional purposes (I.e., swim up bar, kids pool, volleyball, etc.) This makes general pool use very congested! If you’re traveling with small kids, you should know the is “nightly entertainment” in the main courtyard area with loud music until around 11pm each night. As I said, the property is rather small, so you really can’t escape the noise if you want to put kids down early for bed. Overall, we were very disappointed.

I had an amazing experience. The property was beautiful and the food was amazing.

When we checked in - we didn’t get any information except to download the RIU App. No map of the hotel until I asked 3 days later. Didn’t inform us that there was not an elevator. We were on the 3rd floor. No information about activities at the hotel. Only found there was an information Kiosk 3 days later- after asking. Staff ate Sports Bar upstairs was very rude when we asked for something to drink. Just through our drinks to us. The Spa service was not professional- my pedicure was terrible. I asked to reimbursed for the service. Then we cancelled our couples massage because they quoted 1 price for the pedicure then Upgraded to another service that was not quoted. Staff was very rude when went RIU Palace. I will not return. Thanks
