Victoria Falls through the mists in the low season. Seeing the famed Victoria falls from the Zimbabwe side was something that had been on my bucketlist since way before I even knew what a bucketlist was. I never really thought I would make it to Africa but often dreamed of it. I just put up my blog post about my experience there. Close to the small city Masvingo in Zimbabwe you find the origin to the name Zimbabwe got in 1980. The name was already used by african nationalists around 1960 as a possible name for the country the day they got their freedom. The name comes from shona language and means ruins. In 1986 this amazing place was proclaimed a Unesco World Heritage Site. This is an amazing place and a must visit if you are in Zimbabwe.
