“We have stayed here three times now & love the friendly homely atmosphere. The apartment is perfect for me & my son and he loves the swimming pool! The gym has plenty of equipment & my treadmill faces a field of cows & the odd pig which was lovely! Will definitely be staying again”

“Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Property is in need of some TLC, and could be an excellent venue. Gardens in need of de-weeding and some cutting back on trees, brambles etc.”

“Well positioned in Cockermouth. Stairs upto bed rooms may be challenging for some guests. Easy parking, well stocked bar, pleasant communal rooms and garden. Best part of this hotel by far is the very welcoming friendly staff and superb breakfast.”

“Whilst the hotel was clean and comfortable after an efficient and early check in sadly things went down hill. We had a very good sandwich in the bar with drinks however the service was distinctly average and we waited several minutes for service at which time the bar was unattended. After attending a function during the day we returned tobthe bar area for a couple of drinks. My wife was directed to another area to order non alcoholic cocktail then sent back to order a pint of bitter as they...

“Friendly welcome on arrival . room was relatively small but well equipped and clen. Bed was comfortable. Dinner in the evening was excellent and all bar prices were very reasonable. while there was some ongoing construction in the hotel grounds, there was still the ability to take a short stroll around the grounds. Definitely worthy of a short stay.”
