Everyone was very helpful & attentive. Our dinner & breakfast were tasty & the view was great. Our room view was beautiful. While the pool was closed during our stay, it was rather large & had plenty of lounging space

The place was clean but the photos are showing 2 places. The beds were confortable. The bedroom were not insonorated like it was written so we could ear lots of neighborhood dogs barking at night. Overall the place had everything we needed to visit that local part of Belize.

Shaka Caye was truly paradise! We’ve stayed at numerous Caribbean resorts, but nothing compares to the privacy, natural beauty, and exceptional hospitality we experienced here. With only one other couple on the island, it felt like our own private getaway! We stayed in Beachfront Room #2, just steps from the ocean. Every morning, our chairs, cushions, towels, and umbrella were waiting. The staff were phenomenal—attentive, genuinely friendly, and always making us feel spoiled. We loved chatting with them and learning about Belizean culture. And the food was hands down the best we’ve ever had at a resort! The wildlife was incredible! We saw dolphins, manatees, stingrays, and tropical fish. Kayaking to the neighboring deserted island was a highlight, as was our private Caye Caulker excursion. A few tips: Bring LOTS of bug spray! The no-see-ums loved me but ignored my husband. Watch for upside-down jellyfish hiding in shallow seagrass. I was stung, but the rash disappeared within two hours. There’s no pool or 24-hour food service, but neither bothered us. The three delicious meals and afternoon snack were plenty! If you want nightlife and crowds, look elsewhere. If you want peaceful beaches, incredible nature, amazing food, and outstanding service, Shaka Caye is unforgettable. We’d return in a heartbeat!

Belize Reef Escape at St Georges Caye offers an unforgettable island getaway with some of the most breathtaking views of Belize’s famous blue waters. The resort’s location is ideal for anyone seeking relaxation and natural beauty—every sunrise and sunset is picture-perfect. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible Belizean food, lovingly prepared by Yoli. Every meal was a treat, featuring local flavors and fresh ingredients. The rooms were clean and provided a comfortable, peaceful environment, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. The staff at Belize Reef Escape were exceptionally attentive, always ready to help and ensure a wonderful experience. Excursions organized by the resort were a blast—snorkeling, kayaking, island hopping, and more. We highly recommend asking for Jay when booking excursions; he brings so much energy and fun to every trip, making each outing memorable. It’s worth noting that there aren’t sandy beaches at the resort or on the island, but the clear blue waters, laying in the hammocks and reading our books and the amazing excursions more than make up for it. We did have some issues with the hot water in our room, but this may have been user error, and the staff was quick to address it. I’m confident it’s no longer an issue. Overall, Belize Reef Escape on St Georges Caye is a fantastic destination for anyone looking for relaxation and authentic Belizean hospitality. Our stay here was for our honeymoon and it was perfect! Very peaceful, relaxing and accommodating. The staff was great. Justin and Ervin were great in the kitchen and bar service. The food was excellent and they were able to meet my wife's gluten free diet with every meal. Manager Barry is great and has stories for days. It really felt like a family more than a staff!!

Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Their genuine hospitality made the entire experience even more special. The food deserves a special mention—every meal was phenomenal! Having three delicious, home-cooked meals prepared fresh each day was such a treat. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and made with care, and we looked forward to every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The facility itself was spotless and very well maintained. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully cared for, making it easy to relax and enjoy every moment of our stay. What truly sets Tarpon Sands apart is how accommodating they are. Whether it was helping with activities, making sure we were comfortable, or simply going the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience, the staff consistently exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway with exceptional service, amazing food, and a beautiful, well-kept property, I can't recommend Tarpon Sands enough. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast could have been served earlier than 8am.

Everything was very nice, the staff, the property, all were great. The only problem was the TV remote. It was not easy to handle.

The Staff the food and the accommodations and amenities were great. The people were helpful, the location was in a great spot! You could walk to the water taxi which was no less than 5 minutes away. A 15 minute walk to the downtown area(Ramada Casino) and other local restaurants & bars. The staff helped a lot when it came to calling a cab or even pointing you in the right direction to do things for your day. The restaurant was great, always clean the servers were well mannered and cleaned everything instantly. Barely any wait with the food too. This is all in the main hotel by the way. Now when they open the bigger buildings across the street I feel it would be even better
