“The room was spacious, had a comfortable bed, and great shower. It was very plain white with minimal decoration. No air conditioning, but a good floor fan that kept us sufficiently comfortable. You are given a security code for self check in and the rooms are up a staircase to the second floor. You can hear other people open and close their doors but no one bothered us. We enjoyed the nearby restaurants -- middle Eastern, Chinese, Turkish, Gelato-- and convenient shops and buses nearby. Lots...

“A lovely little old pub. Clean rooms and bathroom, super comfortable bed. Staff friendly. Food excellent. A nice little touch with cookies in the room & a morning coffee on the house. A slightly noisy a/c or some type of fan unit outside our room but no real complaints”

“I enjoy a hotel that makes you feel like the location… not some generic place that looks the same in every location. The Porterhouse was great in that regard, made me feel like I was in Oxford. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Easy access to the pub and the restaurant. Breakfast included lots of options and was ample. A great overall experience.”
