“Don’t have a/c in the room and the beds are not comfortable”

“Hotel was ok and breakfast basic. Beds comfy but soundproofing between rooms very poor. Speaking to another guest who had very noisy Air con in their room. Front of house staff terrible about sorting his issues due to no continuity of staff doing shifts. All in all my stay was ok but staff very poorly trained, but that's what you tend to see in the low paid service sector in some hotels (not all). Coming back to York in a month and won't be using this hotel again.”

“A lovely friendly welcome from Michael at reception. All the staff were great. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The fan was a definite bonus in the hot weather although the room stayed fairly shaded too. There was some traffic noise but it didn't disrupt my sleep at all (room 16). “We only had a short stay there but the hotel and rooms are spotless, staff friendly and helpful, excellent food and well stocked bar. Ample parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to go back again. Thanks guys and gals 👍”
