“The hotel has a large car park. The rooms were clean and warm. The hotel was taylored more for eating. The meals were excellent and the bar closed early after meals were finished. There were no casual bar customers. Pleanty of bars close by. The area was very safe and comfortable to walk around at any time..Nice friendly staff.”

“Nice hotel, we had a feature bedroom which was spacious and comfortable although it really needs handrails in the bathroom to get out of the narrow bath!. Guests can use the facilities including the pool at the sister Peebles Hydro hotel about 2 minutes drive away. Handy for walking into Peebles high street and the river walks. Good choice of meals in the bar which were reasonably priced and excellent.”

“Hotel location is good, the room is updated and clean. Make to order breakfast is included. Great Service. On site parking is limited, but there are plenty of off site parking in the back.”

“Great stay in a very pleasant room overlooking the cricket pitch and down to the river. Very friendly, professional and helpful staff. Good choice of bar or restaurant food with local beer on tap.”

“The Royal was a terrific find for us. The owners were delightful and the hotel their pride and joy. Breakfast is delicious and included and the room, and bed were very comfortable. The shower is good also.”
