After visiting Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, the crazy crowds, crowded trains we stopped off here for a couple days before our trip back to Narita Airport. Its a quick train from Atami to Usami. “My family of 3 stayed two nights at Hinodeya and it was a wonderful experience all around! This was our first visit to the Izu-Penninsula and we had such a great time. The owner and staff were so kind and accommodating, truly good spirits in this generational owned ryokan. The baths were very relaxing, the entire place was very clean and good spirits all around. “A vibe of a hotel that once was great and is falling into disrepair. Before booking I was debating between this and another hotel which was a few thousand yen more expensive. I rather wish I had booked the other one. It’s not that this place is bad….but it’s not really worth the price either. To start with, we booked a non smoking room. But when I checked the property details on this website, it said I booked a smoking room. The staff assured me they would change it when I called them. But...
