“We were only there one night and didn’t eat there in the evening but breakfast was excellent. Room was spacious with excellent open plan bathroom facilities. Pleasant walk into Sidmouth ( approx 3.5 ) miles round trip Ticked all the boxes for what we needed. Would stay again”

“The property as a whole was in poor condition and was not clean. The food was not very nice. It appeared to be from a food service company, just thawed, cooked and served. It is clear that the premises had not been subjected to a health and safety impact assessment. For example, the showers were in the bath and no non-slip mats were provided. “Honestly it’s a dump. Tiny dirty rooms. Smelly pub with bad food. The location on the sea front is perhaps its benefit but it’s in a parking lot. Avoid”

“The pub was in an ideal location and although on a busy road, we were not bothered by any traffic noise. The staff seemed rushed off their feet and we waited a while for our food with no offer of being able to order another drink whilst we were waiting. However, this has not put us off returning as the food and accommodation was excellent and the staff were very friendly.”
