The property as a whole was in poor condition and was not clean. The food was not very nice. It appeared to be from a food service company, just thawed, cooked and served.
It is clear that the premises had not been subjected to a health and safety impact assessment. For example, the showers were in the bath and no non-slip mats were provided. This meant that having a shower was lethal, as was getting out of it as the floor was just lino.
Generally hygiene was very poor. Outside toilets were not nice, rooms were not cleaned during a two night stay.
Expensive - I had a single occupancy room and I paid more, including booking fee on Expedia, than people in a double occupancy. Breakfast was not included in the price so there was no reason for it.
Breakfast - this appears to follow game theory with different levels of breakfast and many options for basically the same thing. Pots of tea are barely a mug and each pot is charged for.
For those attending a wedding locally there is not much in the way of an alternative close by. However, where there is no real need to be in Crocombe, I would suggest staying somewhere else.
