“Beautiful friendly historic location. Excellent food, comfortable quiet rooms and a decent size car park. Service was great and the WiFi was good. Sir Francis Drake used to live nearby for history buffs. Deep in the Tamar Valley AONB there's much to enjoy. Phone signal is shaky in Milton Combe.”

“We have stayed at the Copthorne hotel before, whilst visiting family in Plymouth. However, unlike previous visits, there seemed to be a general lack of interest in the customer. This was most apparent at breakfast service where, on more than one occasion, food items had run out and staff had to be asked more than once to replace them. The hotel has no air conditioning and ,therefore, it is important not to take a room on the fourth floor - the hottest as we were told by a member of reception...
