If a town has a Moxy then that's where I will stay. They are so cool and like all of them, this one has a lovely big bar and seating area in the foyer. The rooms are great and everything works. And the staff all seem to love their work and are helpful and friendly. Top class.

Very quick and easy check-in. Comfortable bed & pillows. I like the lighting scheme. A sparse hanging space but quite adequate for transients on the move. Sufficient plugs available. Breakfast was pretty good. I would be happy to stay again.

Nice clean room but given disabled room which means wet room shower so constant wet floor! Good location for port & we were taking a ferry next day. Good breakfast & easy parking but not free. Kids in reception playing pool were a nuisance & parents did not control them which was a shame.

We had a pretty good two night stay here whilst visiting friends. The hotel is central and close to all amenities, the arena and places we wanted to visit. We had a few misunderstandings with the room type but it was worked out eventually, Housekeeping here are phenomenal and the place sparkles all the time. There were two things we didn’t like - firstly the parking is very limited. Although there is a car park it is small and rammed full - the £10 per night charge is reasonable for the area - but if you’ve paid for your stay, gone out for the day and come back to zero space for your car, you have limited options. Also on the Saturday night we stayed they had live music, it was so loud it reverberated on the 5th floor, we had to leave the lobby area as it was so disruptive.

A different take on a traditional hotel. Modern and nice interior features. 1st impressions were good. Greeted on arrival. Check in was smooth and easy. Advised on how to use the lift with key card and breakfast. Offered an option to dine in and a welcome drink. Room was generally clean. We found a long hair in the shower and the bathroom generally smelt of sewage but felt it was coming from the drains. As soon as you ran some water it subsided and with the the door shut you couldn’t smell it in the rest of the room. Welcome message on the TV was a nice touch and the atmosphere of the room was good. Bed was for us way too soft. This did affect our general sleep. Breakfast was efficient and was well done. Overall we felt it was good value and would stay at the Moxy again. The surrounding area of the hotel aren’t the best but this isn’t the hotels fault. Staff were also great.
