The hotel was clean and the staff were super helpful. Five stars for them. I had great experience. I did not demand luxury since I was on the surfing trip. It had balcony and a nice view. There is a bar on the bottom floor and karaoke every night. Some reviewers didn't like the noise but it didn't bother me. Parking will be an issue because hotel has very limited spots. I had to sign up for the waiting list and was lucky to get one. Will come back.

We enjoyed the pool/hot tub and yoga sessions with Mia. Outstanding location - close to, but away from, the busy Honolulu area. Short drive to the north shore beaches.

Great hotel, staff, and suite.

The front desk staff was awesome! Our view was great! The room was perfect had everything we needed! A fridge, coffee maker, closet, balcony, shower that fit one person but it worked well, storage space. Everything in the room worked, nothing was broken, the ac kept our room cold! The room didn’t have any weird smells. The linen was clean. The amenities were stocked. The staff was friendly. The valet was awesome and convenient. Everything went smooth! I’d definitely stay there again.

I love staying at the Ala Moana Hotel for its cleanliness, convenience and wonderful customer service. This stay was a little different because I was occupying a room at the hotel, but the room itself is managed by a separate entity. Normally, I stay in a room that is managed by the hotel property. Check in was the same, valet was the same, utilizing the restaurants and shops were the same, convenient location was the same. However, what visitors need to know are the differences. There is no daily housekeeping. Even though a good number of towel sets are provided, if they need extra, they will be charged $30 per set. Toiletries are limited. I was given trial sizes of one conditioning shampoo, one body lotion and one very small bar of soap. No soap or body gel/wash. If there is something wrong in the room, visitors cannot call the front desk for help. They need to contact the company/agency that they made the reservation through and that company will contact the management group to report any issues. Even though there are some slight inconveniences, I still enjoyed my stay.
