Vacations Close To Mayan Ruins of Playacar

The hotel is located in a busy part of the hotel zone next to the coco bongo nightclub. The pool area is nice and faces onto the beach and is nice at first glance but the place is dirty/damaged/poorly finished in countless places. We had an ocean view room however the balcony could not be used due to the warm AC vent blowing. The rooms were very big and spacious but the condition was poor. The light near the big did not work and the rest of the lighting isn’t very good so it’s dark when the sun goes down. The bathroom was fine but run down (door missing on the shower, poor water pressure, damaged tiles). It was very affordable at €100 per night and we only stayed for 2 nights but if it was any more, i would have looked to move elsewhere.

Nice place to relax

Everything was good till they charged me $250 for a cleaning fee of linen that they claim had pee with no proof mind you i had no children and was unaware asked to speak with manager she acted like she didnt understand me first she said 150 then i seen a 250 charge and asked hwr about it she xouldnt provide answer wouls not book again!

We enjoyed our vacation so much that we plan to go back in the future. Sol was our concerige and he was so helpful and amazing! All the staff was so friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were great! Keep up the great work that you do!

The front desk staff Yul was very rude. The resort food was not good. The pool closed super early. We had to call everyday for towels. Our refrigerator was not stocked daily with refreshments. The front desk friend schedule a taxi for us that was his friend and he over charged us. Overall a 3/10 for this resort.

The Fives Beach Hotel: Beautiful Pools, but an Experience That Falls Short of Expectations Our recent stay at The Fives Beach Hotel in Playa del Carmen was a mixture of enjoyable moments and frustrating experiences. While the resort certainly has its highlights, several shortcomings kept it from delivering the seamless, relaxing vacation we had hoped for. The standout feature of our stay was undoubtedly the pools. They provided an enjoyable setting to relax and spend time together as a family and were easily our favorite part of the resort. Unfortunately, the dining experience left much to be desired, primarily due to the restaurants’ operating schedules. One of the biggest appeals of an all-inclusive resort is the convenience of having a variety of dining options readily available. However, we frequently found restaurants closed when we wanted to eat. The limited availability made dining feel unnecessarily complicated and took away from the convenience that an all-inclusive experience should provide. Another disappointment was the lack of attention to maintenance requests. The televisions in our room did not work throughout our stay. Despite notifying the front desk on several occasions and being assured that someone would address the issue, it was never resolved. While a working television certainly isn’t the centerpiece of a tropical vacation, the repeated promises without follow-through were disappointing.
