“The rooms were large and clean. The staff very nice and answered any questions we had. We ate several times at the attached restaurant and had drinks at the bar. The service there was also really good. The food was delicious. Parking was easy and we could walk right to town to shop and eat. They also have a cute little gift shop in the lobby that we shop that and bought some items from.”

“The room looked like it was recently remodeled. It was clean and bright. There were cute details such as the toilet paper bows and on the last day we ended up with a towel folded in the shape of a lobster which absolutely delighted my 11 yr old. My only complaint was that upon check in, no one was at the office and we had to wait about 10 minutes and when the staff did return, she did not apologize or acknowledge that we had been standing there waiting. “Wow! This was the most beautiful place. The property is tucked up on a beautiful lot of trees and ferns. Our room was just gorgeous with beautiful furniture, wallpaper and a fireplace. I couldn’t believe we were staying in such a storybook place. I found Mike at the checkin super kind and helpful. He also gave great recommendations for hiking based on my husband’s mobility needs. His advice was perfect—made our trip! You can literally enter Acadia from the trails directly behind the hotel....

“The location of this home is very misleading. Although if you search the exact location, you will find it’s in/near the forest but looking at the pics posted you would think it was near the beach and it is not. I could overlook that if the home was stocked with everything needed and beds were comfortable but that was not the case. We were given 5 bath towels for 4 people for 4days, 1 dish cloth, 1 hand towel and 1 dirty sponge with no washer or dryer and no dishwasher. Extra towels were dropped...

No blackout curtain liners in our room and our room was on a balcony where the inn leaves the lights on all night which made it difficult to sleep and offered no real privacy with sheer curtains. Dusty old silk trees in common areas were awful. fake roses in breakfast room; tacky items sitting haphazardly on furniture and mantels like a silk christmas poinsettia in the month of August. “The hosts were very responsive. Our apartment was missing sheets for the sofa bed upon arrival and they helped us right away. One minor issue was the TV remote and ceiling fan remote were missing. We didn't need either but future guests might.”
