Convenient location to Acadia (Gateway Center just down the road) and Ellsworth in general. Old but clean, with water stains--like visiting an old aunt's house. Pool is not suitable for kids--gets super deep super quickly. Breakfast nicely done.

The room was clean and comfortable. I did not like that they closed the pool at 9p. We checked in at 8:45, and after a long day of traveling our kids look forward to a dip in the pool before bed. Most places keep the pool open till 10p.

Lovely staff in this grossly outdated and somewhat dilapidated hotel (there is nothing colonial about it). Room door seemed to have a bullet hole in it. Pool tiles were black with gunk. Breakfast was lame. Staff was amazing, though.

The room was immaculate. We were in the annex to the back. I was Leary but totally amazed when we walked in. No cruddy carpet, only clean and fresh. Mattress was so-so but the AC was quiet. Close to Acadia and not Bar Harbor prices. Breakfast had so many options. Hard boiled eggs, packaged bagels, muffins and the like. Plenty of drinks and yogurt to choose from. Stay Here! You won’t be sorry.

Perfect for our family of three! We splurged and got a room with a full kitchen but saved money in the long run by not eating out. It was also a straight shot to Acadia. Decent "grab and go" breakfast. And I now know that a Trix muffin exists; I don't know if it should but I'm glad to know it's lurking out there.

The rooms are spacious and clean. They have everything you need to cook a meal. The to go breakfast had several options. Coffee and tea offered all day. The pool is outdated and uneven at the bottom. It’s made out of plastic and run down. We had to be careful because not all sections were 3 ft. The outdoor is not well kept. Arrows to walk dog point to an empty space in the wooded area. Thai red next door is not good.

So not super great but was the cheapest. Room had a slight smell, seemed to be a patch work of renos done at least 40yrs ago, which I don’t necessarily care about except the walls and doors were thin you can hear everything. Pool was very big and warm. Liner was moldy. You had to sign in to use the pool and get pool towels and sign out. Breakfast was interesting. It’s grab and go which we appreciated. Lots of pre-packaged burritos, bagels, donuts, pop tarts,muffins and pancakes. Water pressure pretty bad in the shower. We stayed one night and the room was roomy and was fine for what we needed

Less expensive than other options, and my kids loved the game room and the pool is big! I love the sliding door to get fresh air too. Everyone is nice. Grab and go breakfast but so many options!!! Everyone very kind. I would stay here every time I go to Ellsworth!
