Extremely disappointing experience and easily one of the worst hotel service experiences I’ve had.
I was in town for a wedding and only realized afterward that check-in starts at 5 PM, which is already unusually late compared with virtually every hotel I’ve stayed at around the world. Since that made it impossible for me to check in and get ready beforehand, I called around 4 PM to explain that I would arrive very late, around 3–4 AM, and specifically asked about a late checkout.
I arrived exhausted at approximately 4:30 AM, only to be told by the front desk clerk that because I had not arrived before 3 AM, my reservation had been cancelled. He said he would simply create another one.
When I asked again about a late checkout, after being told regular checkout was 11 AM or noon, the clerk became condescending and started lecturing me instead of simply addressing the request. This was particularly frustrating considering I had already called ahead specifically to advise them of my late arrival and discuss checkout.
His tone was arrogant, unfriendly and completely inappropriate for someone working in hospitality. It reached the point where I literally had to ask him to stop talking and just give me the room keys.
Paying this much for roughly six hours of sleep is bad enough. Being treated this way on arrival makes it considerably worse.
I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone who values professionalism, flexlibility or basic respect from hotel staff.

Excellent 2 night stay. the rooms are spacious and staff very friendly. For the same price at Fairmont, Auberge St Antoine offers a better deal.

Not only was the property stylish, clean, and well located, but every single member of the staff were phenomenal, truly such kind, helpful, and enthusiastic people. The amenities were also very nice.

Loved it.
Any little things like a blown slight bulb were fixed quickly. Gorgeous hotel, soul stay again in a heartbeat!

The property is truly a gem! It is located at the bottom of Old Québec, so there is a bit of an uphill walk to get back to the heart of Old Québec, but it is well worth it.
The hotel itself is wonderful. Our room had every amenity we could have needed, and each morning there was a delicious surprise waiting just outside our door. We received two different pastries each morning, along with fresh orange juice, jams, butter, and other treats such as yogurt and cheese. It was such a lovely and thoughtful touch that made our stay feel extra special.
The front desk staff were always friendly, warm, and incredibly helpful. They even managed to get us a reservation at the Michelin-starred restaurant next door, which was a wonderful bonus.
I would definitely recommend this property. While the location is a little removed from the main area of Old Québec and requires a short uphill walk, the beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, and thoughtful touches more than make up for it.
