  • A few weeks ago I camped at La Mauricie National Park located in the Province of Quebec. Let me start by saying this park is massive and loads to explore. It has a similar feel as Algonquin Park with the exception of a language barrier. While most people in the park are bilingual, some don't speak English at all so if you plan on going I recommend you knowing at least the basics like 'There's a bear on my site and he's eating dinner' hehe JK. But seriously learning the basics will help you communicate with others in this National Park. The park features plenty of lakes to portage and trails to hike. You can expect to see the standard wildlife often found in Eastern Canada such as Bear, Moose, Wolf, Raccoons, Squirrels and so forth, but you may also find some Woodpeckers too. Some believe there are Cougars here too but seeing them is quite rare. You can also swim, fish, and bike to name a few.

Very beautiful property in parc de la mauricie. Because its in a parc though there is zero service & the wifi is not great. The only other issue was that i found the water temperature was not hot enough in the shower. Everything else was perfect! Such a quiet place, we didnt have a chance to eat at the restaurant but from what we saw & and smelled, i bet it was delicious! Cottages are small but cozy & the bed was very comfy. The grounds & the views of the river are amazing! We'll definitely go back!

Beautiful stay!

We will definitely be back and will book longer. The location was perfect and really close to the National Park which was the reason for our visit. We wish we stayed longer to enjoy the paddle boards. The hotel doesn't provide shampoo, condition or bath soap so make sure you bring some!

Sehr schön gelegen in der Nähe des Nationalparks. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker, man kann aber auch in der Unterkunft kochen. Betten waren sehr bequem, leider wurden wir sehr früh von einem Service Truck geweckt - kommt vor, kann keiner was für.

Excellent à tout point de vue !

Les chalets sont extrêmement bien situé, à 5mn en voiture de l’entree Jean-de-pile du Parc de la Mauricie. Le lieu en lui même est extrêmement joli ! Vue sur une rivière. Le chalet Cadoret que nous avions était très bien équipé, chauffé, cosy. L’accueil était vraiment gentil, le chalet avait même pu être préparé un peu en avance :)

Die Unterkunft hatte alles was man benötigt inkl. Grill. Wir übernachteten im le Fin Renard dieses Häuschen hatte hinten einen Tisch mit 2 Stühlen. Es wäre wunderbar mit Lämpchen dekoriert gewesen leider funktionierten diese bei keinem Haus. Das draussen Sitzen machte nicht wirklich Spass da der Nachbarshund immer gegen uns rannte und laut bellte. Auch als wir drinnen waren war er nicht still. Das Bad war klein und im Häuschen fehlten Abstellmöglichkeiten für die Koffer. Das Bett war bequem und das Häuschen war sauber. In der Nacht habe ich eine E-Mail erhalten, dass wir den Abfall leeren und die Betten abziehen sollen bis zum Check-out. Zum Glück waren wir nicht spät dran.

Chalet absolument craquant, décoré avec goût, meublé avec soin. Un cocon douillet que je conseille à tous ceux qui souhaitent se reposer après une longue journée de randonnée au parc de la Mauricie. Je conseille à 200%. Seul petit point d'amélioration: sol un peu sale.
