“I had a quick check in and was given a great room which was quiet. The staff were great and really made an effort to look after us over Christmas ”

“We really enjoyed our stay for two nights at Battlesteads. Two things really stood out - the food was excellent (except chips - a minor thing), and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming without being overbearing. The last point, about how all staff were nice to interact with, was a major selling point and is why we will return. A special shout out to Dan ("Dan, Dan, the beverage man") for being so helpful and recommending Flyte - a top tip! Ad Gefrin sold two bottles to...

“No acepten upgrades ni elijan la habitación 4 del interior del castillo, tampoco les recomendaría que se alojarán ,ya que mi experiencia en el no resultó positiva, luego me contestarán con algúna respuesta tipo, pero les aseguro que hay muchos castillos en Inglaterra mejores que este.”

“Big car parking area, Sunday roasts good. Easy check in and private entrance for guests.”

I was able to show them an email from Expedia to show it was paid. They took a photo of it and that was that. Not their fault.”

On arrival just before the 3 pm check-in time the place was shut, doors locked and curtains drawn. At about 15:30 I had to check into ANOTHER hotel as I had meetings in Corbridge at 16:15. On returning to Hexham I noted the pub was open and I spoke to the manager about the issues I...

“Lovely old hotel with public bar. Breakfast included whichbis good. Close to the village centre shops and bus transport very close.”

“We had a great stay”

“Stayed during owners transition, that's why the kitchen served only breakfast and it was amazing! The same helpful staff. Short business stay, I visit a lot of hotels and I do appreciate smaller ones. Room had a nice design, comfortable bed and modern bathroom, all very clean and well kept.”

“Excellent”
