“Nice pictures. They don't accurately represent the property. The on-site restaurant is out of business. There's a hidden path to the waterfront, but it's a mess. If you end up here, go across the street to the public park instead. Strangely the back of the property faces the river, but the back is windowless, and the rear area is posted no trespassing. Room smelled of cigarettes. Sink didn't drain. Light and fan in bathroom not working, use the heat lamp to see (in July). The entire property...

“Property was well clean, breakfast was good, pool was clean. The only problem was the door keys didn't work most the time. We had to constantly go to the lobby and get them fixed and sometimes then still didn't read. The staff was nice, helpful and always polite.”

“Given the history and age of this hotel, it has its quirks. Rooms are not your standard, cookie-cutter layout. But it is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was very helpful. Note there isn't a restaurant in the building currently, but there are several options within one block. The hotel's proximity to Soo Locks is probably it's most desirable feature.”

“The playground is very unsafe with the large slide almost completely disconnected from the top (all screws on left side disconnected and slide hanging off). They didn’t have any facial tissue in the room, not even an empty box. They didn’t have any cribs available for infants. This place left a lot to be desired, since we were only there for a night it was passable. The managers were kind but not terribly adept.
