“Great little pub in a wonderful countryside location. A nice stopping place for visiting Bristol or Bath and the surrounding areas. I had a lovely dinner here too. Highly recommend.”

“Comfortable rooms”

“The room was very nice - 3 person room - the entryway could use some sprucing up. The pub is very nice - beautiful patio, really comfortable interior and the food is really good. Parking right there - easy in and out.”

“A nice stay. A lovely pub right in the middle of Frome. We stayed here to go to an event at the Cheese and Grain which was perfect. Just be aware that as the rooms are part of an active pub you may get some noise on busier nights”

“Great place, great breakfast. Rooms were really lovely. Could be a little noicey at nite when due to get up for a early trip, with the bar just the next floor below. Really lovely place, would stay here again.”

“The room was pretty decent, and large, and the beds were comfortable, but otherwise the whole place was somewhat run down and not by well maintained, with a musty smell throughout, including in the room and bathroom. The place is just OK, at best. They were no staff there, and it was difficult to communicate with them via email, or text, or Expedia, and you may or may not get a reply. Check-in instructions were not adequate and if you show up early, the place, and the adjoining pub, is closed...
