“Beautiful friendly historic location. Excellent food, comfortable quiet rooms and a decent size car park. Service was great and the WiFi was good. Sir Francis Drake used to live nearby for history buffs. Deep in the Tamar Valley AONB there's much to enjoy. Phone signal is shaky in Milton Combe.”

“The first thing we noticed on arrival was the vary small amount of parking available. We had to find a spot round the back. When we got inside the lady was very helpful and showed us up to our room. It was directly above the bar but the noise was not intrusive. The bed, while comfortable, squeaked with the slightest movement, but as long as we stayed still, it was ok. The bathroom had no lock, and the door latch didn't work so the door couldn't be closed. We had to wedge it shut with towels...

“Lovely and relaxing Great place for us only 6/7min. From our daughter as we came to visit We would of loved if was air-conditioning in rooms, but as we had fans in your room was very helpful in the hottest day/nights. When fans are quiet, we did have one loud fan on one occasion we stayed But overall great place brilliant breakfast & food , staff very perlite,welcoming and helpful ,views fabulous we would definitely stay again Thank you horn of plenty Mr & Mrs Matthews”

“Lovely ‘simple self-catering’ in the heart of Dartmoor. Great set of appliances to have a nice coffee and brekky in bed! Coffee and non-dairy milk included - thank you Terry :) we really enjoyed our stay and had a super sleep. The hot tub looked inviting but the weather was just a bit too miserable for us to venture out there. Next time!”

“Great place on the Cornwall/Devon border, equidistant from the stuff you can do in the Southwest. The food they serve is great, as is the staff I interacted with. An EV charger in the same parking area is very helpful, as well. I was surprised that my single room didn't have a TV.
