“Abbey House is a really good hotel - one of our favourites. The building and its settings are very impressive and very well kept. All members of staff that we met and dealt with were friendly, helpful and cheerfully efficient. This hotel really does deserve to succeed. The only minor fault was in the restaurant where the service could be slow and the waiting staff not quite as attentive as they might be. The bar area is nice and spacious with a good selection of food and drinks. Breakfast is definitely the highlight with a good selection of continental and hot food. The service was good. The lift is dodgy. Gardens and grounds can do with some maintenance and a clean up.”

“Large corporate hotel. Decor is a bit old fashioned and dated, but very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Couldn’t fault it. Reception closes at 10pm so contact them if you are arriving late. Large car park.”
