“This countryside property just outside Thirsk is easy to find and offers a wonderful, peaceful retreat. The room was spotlessly clean, featuring a great shower, huge plush towels, bathrobes, and slippers. Having access to a pool and hot tub was a fantastic bonus. “We love this place. It has charging for our electric vehicle which suits us nicely. The staff are exceedingly helpful; the rooms well appointed with lovely soft pillows and very clean bathrooms. We had a room with a separate lounge this time which was a treat. The restaurant is also very special and the breakfast delicious. The property is near the road so there is some traffic noise but this wasn’t significant enough to worry about, Ripon is an interesting place to walk around too so don’t miss...

“What a lovely place to stay. Friendly, accommodating, quiet, comfortable is only the start of the experience. Definitely book for the dinner which is excellent and served in the small but intimate restaurant. Breakfast - really good with locally supplied produce - doesn't get much better. “Excellent location for both forest and local villages and towns. Quiet location, all meals very good, breakfast you couldn’t ask for more options. Staff excellent , efficient, yet couldn’t do more. Beers from Cropton brewery excellent and good choices. Some of building from 400 years very quirky rooms on multiple levels, confusing at first but yousoon become accustomed.”
